  • "I don't feel competitive, like I have to prove something."

I lost over one hundred pounds in two years by coming to Curves three days a week and changing my diet. Coming to Curves was the easy part. I truly enjoy coming to a place that's made for women. I don't feel competitive like I have to prove something. I simply put on my sweats, come inside, listen to the music and do the machines and the cardio pads. Then I take a relaxing stretch on the mat in the back of the club. It takes only 45 minutes out of my day and the results are phenomenal. The pounds just drop off! I also changed my diet. I eat Healthy Choice frozen dinners for dinner. I add two slices of whole wheat bread and 52 ounces of water to keep hydrated. The water also makes me feel full. For breakfast I have a bowl of Curves cereal and a banana with 2% milk. I skip lunch but I snack on peanuts or almonds. Just a handful to maintain portion size. That's why I like Healthy Choice frozen dinners because they are portion controlled and they taste good too. They even come with a dessert. Portion control is key and Healthy Choice does that job for you. No guess work. So, with Curves and Healthy Choice dinner I was able to lose over one hundred pounds. It only took a little will power. Don't be afraid of those words "will power." You can find yours! Buy a dress in the size you would like to be. Make sure it's a pretty dress...one you would kill to get in. Use that dress as your motivation. It'll help you find your "will power." Then after you start your program of diet and Curves try on that pretty dress. The more the dress motivates you, the stronger your "will power" will become. Then sit back and watch the pounds and inches melt away. Don't get discouraged if you break your diet. Simply brush yourself off and get right back on it. All will be forgiven and your "will power" will kick back into overdrive. Soon, the weeks turn into months and the months turn into years. And that pretty dress gets looser and looser until finally IT FITS! Diet, Curves and "will power," that's all you need! It worked for me. And I lost over one hundred pounds in two years. And you know what else? My pretty dress looks fabulous on me!

Cecile Biais is a young woman who lives in Berkshire, a county in southern England. Cecilia approached her thirties, an age considered by many women as the "ideal age", but she bought her clothes in shops reserved for large sizes. When Diane Jordan made the decision to join Curves in 2006, her morale was "at the bottom." His size 60 did not only affect her pride; she seriously endangered her life. She had all the risks of developing hypertensive disorders, diabetes or suffering a stroke, among other serious health problems. At Curves, Diane learned that some small changes could make all the difference. Encouraged by the staff of Curves and the 30 minute workout three times a week, she began to drink water every day and eat smaller healthier food portions. She also began eating more fruits and vegetables. In just two years, Diane's efforts have paid off. She has now lost nearly 32 kilograms and wears size 14 dresses! She is proud of her efforts and said, thinking of her debut at Curves, "Since that time, I built a new life and I now have more confidence in myself and my body."
