Relay for Life
Curves Pittsburg has once again teamed up with Curves in Antioch to participate in Relay for Life June 23-24 at the track at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg. Relay for Life, sponsored by American Cancer Society, is a 24-hour relay for which team members obtain sponsorships through donations and purchases of Luminaria honoring people who have, and who have not, survived cancer. Team members and their friends commit to having at least one person walking the track at all times during the 24-hour period.
Our Team Curves was in the top ten teams in fundraising, and we were second to the top in our specific Relay. We love reaching out to the community, trying to make the world a better place.
Thanks to everyone who supported Team Curves in the past. With your help and committment we beat our 2010 fundraising totals to finish with over $8,000 in donations for 2011
This year our financial goal is to surpass $10K. Please show your support any way you can. Financially, you may make a donation. April 9, 2012 - April 27, 2012 we will be hosting a rummage sale with all proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society.
