Annual Food Drive 2010
This is the 6th year the gym in Plymstock has collected food for the homeless.
Curves for Women gym and weight loss centre in Plymstock, has been collecting non-perishable food for a Plymouth homeless shelter,the Shekinah Mission.
The gym waived its joining fee for the month of March in exchange for a donation of food,which will kindly be taken to Shekinah by Andrew Edmonds of St Matthews Church in Elburton.
Gym Manager Cheryl Kidd said: “ I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity during these difficult times,for donating food to such a worthy cause. I also recently visited Shekinah to see for myself all the great work they do for the community. The mission based on Bath Street is open to anyone that needs food, support or help and advice.
Curves is a gym designed for women which offers a unique 30 minute express workout and a supportive environment dedicated to helping women become fit for life through exercise and diet.The workout is based on a scientifically approved mix of cardiovascular exercise, resistance training and stretching which works every major muscle group.
In addition to the workout, the gym offers a 30 day cycle weight management plan that provides permanent results without permanent dieting.
