Thanks to my Curves workouts 3 times a week and healthy eating plan I have maintained a healthy lifestyle
BEFORE
AFTER
I joined Curves in September 2006, 3months after my eldest son (Keagan) was born, in a desperate attempt to loose the 22kg’s I picked up during my pregnancy. Curves appealed to me because it was only a 30 minute workout, and with a new baby it was perfect. So with the help of Curves, a healthier diet and breastfeeding the weight came off easily.
In my second pregnancy my Curves workouts helped me maintain a good weight and kept me in shape through my pregnancy. After giving birth to my youngest son (Liam) in 2008 I gradually picked up weight and really struggled to get back to a healthier lifestyle.
Eventually in 2010 I got my determination back and had a goal – to fit into my wedding dress for my 30th Birthday party. After trying various diets and failing I finally started a medical weightloss programme called Slender Wonder in June 2010 and increased the intensity of my Curves workouts. In 9 weeks I lost 11kg – this got me into my wedding dress so I was thrilled. Getting rid of the last 7 kg’s was a bit slower, but we got there eventually.
To date I have managed to maintain a healthy lifestyle, thanks to my Curves workouts 3 times a week and a healthy eating plan. The new Zumba class is also a great bonus.

Joining Curves was the best decision ever.
BEFORE
AFTER
I joined Curves in February this year and it was my best decision I made this year. I was looking for a program that was easy to understand and didn’t overwhelm me and this is exactly what Curves offered me.
The main reason I joined was weight loss and getting fit. The benefits of the program have been amazing with my overall health improving. Mentally I feel so much happier and physically stronger.
I think that I couldn’t have done it without the encouragement of the staff at this branch. The branch has such a great vibe with friendly and helpful staff on hand.
You feel like they are your fitness sponsors!!!
Besides it being a fitness centre they are also socially responsible with food drives for the local community and with interesting competitions or walks on the go all the time.
Go Curves Durbanville!!!

Weight bearing exercises help alleviate my osteoporosis.
BEFORE
AFTER
The main objective of my joining Curves was to obtain weight bearing exercises in order to alleviate my osteoporosis. Weight loss was not a priority but fitness was. I have been a member of Curves for a number of years and have reaped many benefits. Not only has my osteoporosis improved whereby it is no longer nescessary to undergo annual bone density tests but rather every four years. My doctor attributes this to the exercies I am doing. I have attained a level of fitness which also enables me to walk for an hour every day, accompanied by my husband and my two German Sheperds.
Curves is a program that enables one to exercise every area of one's body and I definitely feel I have firmed up all over. The beauty of the programme is that it only take half an hour of one's time, three times a week and better still, there are no predetermined times for classes. You work at your own level of fitness. There is nobody cracking the whip. Also you don't have to wear designer clothes. Tracksuit pants and t-shirts are the order of the day. One of the instructors is always in attendance to remind you to perform the exercises correctly in order to obtain the best results. This is always done in a friendly manner so that one looks on them more as friends than instructors.
For someone who previously frowned upon exercise of any form, I am now one of their greatest fans as the whole experience at Curves is a happy and rewarding one. Thank you Curves.
