"I would recommend Curves to any woman who desires to have a healthy body, mind and soul!"

I was introduced to Curves by staff who did a promotion at that time. The girls visited our school where I am teaching at. The manager gave a motivational talk to the female teachers. At the end of the talk we received complimentary tickets for a free week at Curves.
After I went for the free week, I decided to join Curves in July 2009. During my free week, I immediately fell in love with the whole set-up, the friendliness, the motivation, helpfulness and the professional manner in which the service was conducted. The trainers at Curves also impressed me with their fitness, weight-loss and healthy lifestyle knowledge.
After a month I noticed the difference in my physical appearance. I also had more strength and energy. My mental and emotional well-being also improved. Working out at Curves became part of my lifestyle. It’s also a good way to tame your stress.
After two years, I still feel comfortable working out at Curves to increase my chances of maintaining my new healthy habits. I would recommend Curves to any woman who desires to have a healthy body, mind and soul!

THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME THE WINGS TO FLY AGAIN!

Whether you're a busy business woman or student in your 20's. Whether you are a dynamic, active or passive woman in your thirty's, 40's or even 80's:
My testimony is for you!
I was a premature baby, blinded by the eye condition ROP, which still affects 1.1 million baby's per year, which partially damaged my optic nerves and retinas. Born 6 months early doctors had to give me more oxygen to survive which was too much for my system – this attributed to my condition.
Learning to look at my blindness through a different lens, seeing myself as a differently able woman, instead of disabled helped me to climb a few mount Everest’s in life.
Completing the Burger Sanlam cycle tour twice, and the Cape Argus cycle tour 3 times so far, and various road races are a few personal achievements for me.
Two of the most difficult mount Everest's I had to climb in my life were when I lost my first guide dog in a tragic freak accident in 2002, and when I had to retire my second guide dog in November last year due to failing eye sight and old age.
Facing both of these traumas created a fear inside me to remain physically active without a guide dog by my side. I had lost my drive to be active and became very depressed knowing that I'll lose my freedom, mobility and independence to exercise outdoors and even indoors through these traumas.
Then my paths crossed with the unique woman's gym - Curves, in December 2010. They gave me wings to fly again and taught me that there are no valid excuses on the market like too little time, or even a life changing trauma that can stop you becoming active again.
Take action today and join a fitness group! Look at your reality through a different lens and you'll see its great, possible and beneficial to be active!
